Enable or Disable Site Favicons for Edge Address Bar Suggestions

How to Enable or Disable Address Bar Omnibox Favicons in Microsoft Edge Chromium

When you type something into the address bar of Microsoft Edge Chromium, the list of URL suggestions shows favicons for the web site next to the site name. This feature is enabled by default, and can be enabled or disabled. When it is disabled, Edge shows generic vector icons instead of favicons.

Also, Microsoft Edge is still supporting a number of aging Windows versions, including Windows 7, which has recently reached its end of support. 1. Using the latest (I think) version of Edge (Version 92.0.902.67 (Official build) (64-bit)) with W10 Pro 21H1.

When I go to “edge://flags/#omnibox-ui-show-suggestion-favicons”, the “Omnibox UI Show Suggestion Favicons option” is not listed.

I still prefer the Address Bar down in my double-height Taskbar and I prefer Favicons to appear with those URLs I have listed in the Address Bar.

Would love to see this option returned to Edge – perhaps as a new tweak in Winaero Tweaker.
