Microsoft Updates Roadmap for Microsoft Edge

Microsoft has updated its roadmap for Edge Chromium. PDF file navigation has been moved to 'Planned', and most of the New Tab page features were moved from 'Under Review' to 'Planned', giving us a possibility of getting them in March 2020. Also, an option to keep specific cookies when choosing to clear browsing data on close was moved from Planned to Planned for March..

Here are definitions: 

  • Addressed – Changes to address this feedback are visible to all users in the Canary and Dev channels
  • Not Planned – Microsoft doesn’t currently plan to address this feedback, though it will continue to track it and reconsider our approach if needed.
  • Planned for… – Microsoft is working on this and currently plan for it to be addressed in the Canary channel before the end of the month indicated.
  • Planned - Microsoft has reviewed this feedback and have a plan to address it. However, it isn't ready to share a target time frame just yet.
  • In Discussion – Microsoft has reviewed this feedback and to learn more it has started a discussion about on Microsoft Edge Insider Forum.
  • Under Review – Microsoft is reviewing this feedback internally and does not have a plan to share at this time.
  • Quality Area – Microsoft will give extra weight to fixes and opportunities in this area. Microsoft is expecting you to report specific bugs and make specific asks.
