Following the public release of the first preview build of Windows 11, Microsoft provided more information about the system's hardware requirements. According to the official documentation from Microsoft, Windows 11 officially supports devices with Intel 8th gen / AMD Ryzen 3000 processors and up. Still, some of Microsoft's employees showed their Surface Studio 2 with Intel 7th gen CPU running Windows 11 without any issues. The latest blog post from Microsoft explains the situation.
Windows 11 Build 22000.51 is now available to Dev Channel Insiders
Microsoft today released the first preview build of Windows 11, build, 22000.51, to participants of the Windows Insider program in the Dev Channel. The company notes that it will continue to improve the OS in the coming months, so now you can try many, but not yet all of the new features that were announced last week. In particular, the "Chat" app based on Microsoft Teams and the ability to run Android applications are not yet available.

Microsoft hints point at Windows 11 launch in October 2021

Stevie Bathiche, one of the Surface engineers at Microsoft, sends Panos Panay a message with the following text: "Good luck today, Panos! Excited to turn it up to 11... can't wait for October!"
A message might hint at a potential Surface event in October 2021, during which Microsoft will unveil new Surface computers running Windows 11 out-of-box. Microsoft can combine two events and launch Windows 11 alongside new devices.
