Windows 11 24H2 is required for Wi-Fi 7, not version 24H1

Previously, Dell's slide erroneously stated that Windows 11 24H1 was necessary for Wi-Fi 7, which led to widespread assumptions about the arrival of a new Windows version in April. However, it has now been clarified that this was a typo, and the correct version of the operating system needed for Wi-Fi 7 is Windows 11 24H2. Therefore, it is indeed version 24H2 that is required for Wi-Fi 7 compatibility.

PowerToys 0.77 is out with a new “Command Not Found” tool

Along with cumulative updates, Microsoft today released a new PowerToys 0.77 version. It adds a new utility called "Command Not Found" that tracks the commands you type, and can recommend you to install the appropriate software that provides the command if it is missing in your OS. For example, if you type "vim", it will suggest you to get one of the Vim ports available in WinGet (if none is installed). This currently works only in PowerShell 7.4.

Broadcom has revised licensing terms for VMware partners

Broadcom has made changes to the process for VMware partners to enter service agreements. Partners are no longer able to do so directly through the partner portal and will instead be served by Broadcom. The portal currently has 2,000 registered accounts, and any attempts by partners to register transactions with VMware will be rejected.

Microsoft-branded mice and keyboards will now be produced by Incase

In January 2024, Incase made an announcement regarding their partnership with Microsoft. They stated that various Microsoft-branded accessories such as wireless and wired ergonomic mice, keyboards, webcams, speakers, headsets, and more will continue to be marketed under the Incase Designed brand. This collaboration benefits both companies.
