Microsoft Edge has received resizable vertical tabs

Microsoft has released a fresh update for the Edge browser in the Canary channel. The biggest visible change in this release is the ability to resize the vertical tabs pane. In its current form available in Stable, Beta, and Canary channels, the sidebar has a fixed width, making it a bit harder to read long tab headers. Now, you can resize this bar according to your needs. This change is especially welcomed on computers with ultra-wide monitors with tons of free horizontal space. It is also worth mentioning that you can change the panel's width whether it is pinned or not.

Still, this feature was initially limited with sharing between personal accounts, or work or school accounts related to a specifc organization. In 2017, when Microsoft announced the Creators Update for Windows 10, the list of quick access folders expanded with an additional 3D Objects folder. It is the default location for all your creations in the Paint 3D app.

Office for Windows now supports dictation in seven new languages

Microsoft has announced an update to the built-in dictation mechanism in Office for Windows. With the upcoming update to Office, users will have the ability to enter text using voice in seven new languages. These include Hindi, Russian, Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Korean, Thai, and Chinese (Taiwan). In the future, Microsoft promises to add more languages to this list.

Microsoft prepares brand new Start menu for Windows 10

Start Menu is probably the most iconic part of Windows. Users love Start Menu, and they are the most sensitive to changes in this UI element. With Windows 8, Microsoft made a bold move to modernize Start Menu and adapt it to new device form-factors. Unfortunately, this change found no favor in the eyes of users.
