Google is working on several improvements for the Incognito mode to help users better understand how it works. The company recently introduced a new experimental flag that enables a slightly improved Incognito greeting window. It comes with a clearer explanation of what Incognito does and what it does not (similar improvements are now available in Edge 94).
Microsoft Edge 94 is now available in the stable branch
Microsoft today released the stable version of the Microsoft Edge 94 browser. The full version number is 94.0.992.31. It starts transition to a 4-week release cycle, going hand-in-hand with what Google has implemented for its Chrome browser. Since Edge 93 was released less than a month ago, there aren't many changes in Edge 94.

Windows 10 Build 19044.1263 (21H2) is available in Release Preview
Those Insiders who stay on Windows 10 version 21H2, today receive a new build. Released as a cumulative update, Build 19044.1263 will be offered automatically for Windows Insiders already on Windows 10, version 21H2 in the Release Preview Channel.
Microsoft teases redesigned Your Phone app
On September 22, 2021, Microsoft revealed the second-gen Surface Duo with major hardware improvements, such as the Snapdragon 888 CPU, 5G support, improved cameras, and high refresh rate displays. Alongside the smartphone itself, Microsoft teased a redesigned Your Phone app.
Google plans to kill Manifest V2 extensions for Chrome in 2023
In November 2020, Google launched the new Manifest V3 platform with significant improvements, such as better security, more web technologies support, and better performance for extensions in the Chrome browser. Now the company published information about the upcoming removal of Manifest V2 support in Google Chrome.
Edge Chromium is now available on Xbox
In March 2021, Microsoft stopped supporting the original Edge browser the company shipped alongside the initial release of Windows 10. Chromium-based Edge replaced Edge Legacy, providing users with better compatibility, more features, faster updates, and cross-platform support (Edge Chromium works on Windows 7, 8, 10, 11, macOS, and Linux). The only devices stuck with Edge Legacy were Xbox consoles. After a couple of months of testing with Xbox Insiders, Microsoft is now ready to replace ancient Edge Legacy with Chromium-based Edge.
Google starts testing Chrome 100 user agent string
In March 2022, Chromium-based browsers will move from two-digit to three-digit app versions. Such a change might throw a wrench into the Internet and break compatibility on millions of websites. To prepare its browser for a major shift in version numbers, Google starts testing Chrome 100 UA or user-agent string.
Microsoft: the original Surface Duo will get Android 11 before the end of the year.
Despite reports of Microsoft planning to release Android 11 for the original Surface Duo "this Summer," Microsoft failed to deliver a proper Android upgrade for its quirky dual-screen smartphone. Traditional Android smartphones are now on track to receive Android 12, but the original Surface Duo remains hopelessly stuck with Android 10 for more than a year after the initial release. Microsoft now says those owning the original Surface Duo should expect the company to release Android 11 "before the end of the year."
Windows 11 Build 22000.194 hits Release Preview with ISO images
Microsoft has released the official ISOs for Windows 11 Insider Build 22000.194, which is currently being tested on the Beta and Release Preview channels. You can use these images both for a clean installation and for updating the existing OS on your device.
