Outlook for Android devices gets 10 new languages

A few weeks after the latest update, Outlook for Android is now picking up another feature: It now includes 10 new languages such as Amharic, Belarusian, Bosnian Latin, and more. This feature is part of the new 2.2.66 update that was recently rolled out for Android users.

View your folders offline in OneDrive Premium for Android

Microsoft has once again updated its Android version of the OneDrive client, adding one of the most frequently requested features for Premium users. Premium users of OneDrive can now mark entire folders to be available in offline mode. The offline mode itself isn't new to the app but previously its users were able to download only single files for future use.

Updated Office apps for Android add SVG support and more

A few days ago, Microsoft started rolling out a minor update to its Office apps suite for Android devices, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Users of these apps can now use SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) images in their documents and presentations. Cortana for Android may allow users to customize the UI in the future

With the recent release of Cortana for Android 2.0, Microsoft has introduced a big redesign for its assistant on Google's mobile OS. It's now following some of the Material Design guidelines and looks more 'flat' while still offering the same rich set of features to users. And now there's a hint on what to expect from future updates in the app itself: if you tap the Cortana logo, there's a new screen which says clearly — "Coming soon: Personalize your Cortana".

Google is about to roll out a new technique known as "File-by-File patching", which can reduce the size of app updates from 65% by up to 90%. This will save the user's bandwidth, which is extremely good news for limited data plan users and for lower speed broadband connections as well.

Office for Android receives another major update with new features

Microsoft has recently rolled out a new Office Mobile build for Insiders on Android, introducing some new features for the users of Office Mobile apps. The said build had version 16.0.7531.1011 and was tested by Insiders for more than two weeks. The new update has version 16.0.7531.1002 and introduces features like Maps in Excel, Box cloud service integration and more.

A few weeks after the latest update, Cortana for Android is now picking up another feature: if you let it access your Outlook Calendar, the personal assistant will now remind you of your friends' birthdays.
