Today, Microsoft is releasing the new Edge browser, built on Chromium, as a stable release for Windows and macOS. The new version, which is available to download now, no longer uses EdgeHTML but Chromium as standard, which will work with Chrome extensions, a similar browsing experience to Chrome and a familiar look.
Microsoft Edge May Remain Available on Windows 7 till July 2021
The Redmond software giant has decided to follow Chrome's support schedule for Windows 7. As you may remember, Google promised to support the retired OS for at least 18 months, until July 15th 2021.
Google Drops Third Party Site Cookies and User Agent from Chrome
Google today revealed a couple of changes that will be done to Google Chrome in the future. The browser will prevent sites from managing third-party cookies, e.g. from setting the cookie trackers which spy on users over the Internet. Also, Google wants to drop the User Agent line to stop differentiating browsers by it. The company offers an alternative, which instead will briefly report supported features and capabilities.
