March update for Xbox fixes controller connection issues

A few days ago, Microsoft released the March update for the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles. This relatively minor update brought an option to turn off the FPS Boost and Auto HDR enhancements for backward compatible games. For some reason, the changelog does not say that the March update also resolves gamepad connection issues. Jason Ronald, a member of the Xbox team, mentioned in his Twitter account that those suffering from the controller disconnect issues should install the latest update to get rid of all the problems.

Microsoft Store for Xbox finally shows a list of supported languages

Microsoft haven't yet done with new features for Xbox this month. After releasing the March firmware update for Xbox One and Xbox Series, the company announced a major improvement to Microsoft Store on consoles. Now, users can check a list of supported languages for different games in the Microsoft Store for Xbox and the Xbox Game Pass app.

Microsoft starts testing Chromium-based Edge for Xbox

Microsoft no longer supports the Edge Legacy browser. The company is ending support for the original Edge this month in favor of more modern Edge Chromium. Still, there is a single platform where Edge Legacy remains the primary way to browse the Internet. Microsoft keeps Edge Legacy on Xbox consoles, but the old browser will soon bite the dust even there. The company recently started selective testing Edge Chromium on the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles.

Microsoft will stream its E3 Xbox event in 4K

Microsoft is holding another Xbox-related conference on June 11, 2017 during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017. This event will be focused on project Scorpio, Microsoft's next Xbox iteration which is set to be released this holiday season. Of course, there will be some games and service announcements, but the biggest focus during the event will be on the console itself.

Microsoft makes more changes in Xbox division leadership

Microsoft has recently had another round of its planned staff layoffs in their still ongoing process of reorganizing the company. These changes involve some of the still employed people moving to other positions in the company. As of February 1, 2017, Microsoft seems to have given new titles to two of the most important people in the Xbox division, Mike Ybarra and Kareem Choudhry.
