As you may remember, Microsoft pulled Windows 10 October 2018 Update quickly after its release because of a number of critical bugs. The company is currently releasing the fixed version via the Windows Update service.
The Windows Update History page comes with the following announcement.
Rollout Status as of December 17, 2018: Windows 10, version 1809, is now fully available for advanced users who manually select “Check for updates” via Windows Update.
So, to get the updated version of the OS, check for updates in your existing setup.
It is worth mentioning that October 2018 Update is still blocked for a number of users. If your computer hardware includes AMD Radeon HD2000/HD4000 GPU, or there is an outdated version of the TrendMicro security software or a specific Intel GPU driver version, it won't appear on Windows Update.

This is a lie, I have installed 5 identical laptops two days ago, all Home versions. I had checked for updates manually on every one of them and just one got the 1809 “feature update” under Windows update. Other 4 downloaded 1809 silently in the background.
Microsoft again beta tests on home users and lies about it.
It’s been available in this way for about 10 days now, bit slow aren’t you?

Hello Sergey. Do you know if the “fixed version” is what one gets when using the media creation tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file)?
I think they redistribute the same version they released for Media Creation Tool.

Downloaded Yesterday from the Windows 10 website (Thank you, User-Agent switcher!) I haven’t installed it yet, but yeah, I was surprised to see Windows 10 October 2018 Update online again. I’ll probably install it tonight and tell you guys tomorrow.

Well, installed it already and everything is running smoothly. I used rufus to create a bootable USB drive. I didn’t lose any files during installation (I left a few files on my HDD on purpose on its dedicated folders [Documents, Images, Music, etc.] ) I performed a clean install, my HDD is partitioned as follows:
C: 160 Gb
D: 536 Gb
Nothing was lost during installation
My laptop posses an AMD A8 Processor & 8 Gb of ram
Windows version is 17763.194 (but I couldn’t realize if the OS downloaded updates or something since I had to leave for a while, but I could swear the version number was 17763.107 0r something. I’m not sure if Windows was simply “calibrating” or something and after a few restarts version number became .194)
Until now everything seems fine.
