Microsoft is actively working on running Progressive Web Apps (PWA) inside Edge tabs. The latest Canary build introduces a new flag that allows PWAs that run in a tab to intercept and process links on Desktop. While it has some limitations, it extends the capabilities of tabbed PWAs in Windows 10, which now handle certain websites like Android apps do.

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Build 20246 to the Dev Channel. The update is now available via Windows Update to Insiders, and it is a build from the FE_RELEASE branch.
