Microsoft does not plan to support Windows 11 on M1-based Macs

Apple no longer supports BootCamp on ARM-based Macbooks, but users remain free to run Windows 10 or Windows 11 side-by-side with macOS. There is plenty of virtualization software to use Windows within macOS, such as VMWare Fusion or Parallels Desktop. If you plan to use Windows 11 in a virtual machine on your M1-based Mac, there is some unfortunate news for you. Now, instead of using a single switch to select the default browser (one more click to dismiss Microsoft's plea to try Edge), users need to pick a browser for eleven different web formats.

The updated Photos app finally reaches Windows 11 insiders

Microsoft is now releasing the updated Photos app to Insiders running Windows 11. The company traditionally does a gradual roll-out, so not everyone is getting the app right now. However, the good news is that you can just directly get the app from Microsoft's servers and enjoy it.
