You can now enable Enable Dark Mode in Word, its enhanced version.
Dark theme is not new to Microsoft Office apps. In fact, these apps have two dark modes since the release of Office 2016. But there is still some room for improvements, and the good thing is that these improvements are coming soon to Word.
In September 2020, when Surface Duo went on sale, Microsoft promised three years of monthly updates for its new quirky smartphone. So far, Microsoft has variable success with sticking to its word. How to Enable or Disable Web Widget of Microsoft Edge in Windows 10.
Microsoft has added one more feature to the Edge browser that runs a Web Widget right in the Windows 10 taskbar. It provides direct access to the Bing search, and also displays recent news and a weather forecast. The information appears in a small window that can be minimized to the taskbar.
You have probably noticed that sometimes additional icons appear in the notification area in the Windows 10 taskbar. When an app accesses your location or uses a microphone, the OS alerts users with the respective icons. When you hover over them with your mouse cursor, the system shows which app currently uses your microphone or location. For some reason, there is no such icon for a camera, but Microsoft may soon introduce the missing puzzle piece.
A new Weather Widget now appears in Windows Search on Windows 10 for some users.
Some users noticed that Microsoft updated Windows Search with a new UI. The first thing you will see in an updated version is a large weather tile for your current location with the current and upcoming weather conditions. Clicking on this tile will open a fully-fledged Windows Weather app.
Microsoft released a new Office Insider build for iOS. Version 2.46 is available for those who have access to Office beta apps on TestFlight. The new features include new colorful themes, additional icons, and weather forecasts in Outlook.
After adding dark mode support to the most popular Office apps, Microsoft is now rolling out dark mode for OneDrive for Web. Microsoft announced this feature more than six months ago, and it is finally available to almost everyone.
Microsoft has released a small update to PowerToys. Version 0.31.2 is a small fix to the recently released 0.31.1 update, which resolves an issue with FancyZones option saving.
