Surface Pro X gets a massive April firmware update

Both first gen and second-gen Surface Pro X has received a humongous April firmware update with tons of improvements. Recently, Microsoft merged updates for Surface Pro X and Surface Pro X with the SQ2 processors. From now on, two ARM-based computers from Microsoft receive new unified firmware together. Despite that, this month's update is not the same for the two devices. Surface Pro X SQ2 gets significantly more patches than the original Surface Pro X. It is quite interesting, though, that Microsoft still mentions both SQ1 and SQ2 models in one of the changelogs.

Surface Book 3 and Surface Pro 7 receive tons of improvements in latest firmware updates

Microsoft continues rolling out April 2021 firmware updates for its Surface computers. The company has already released patches and improvements for Surface Pro 6, Surface Studio 2, and Surface Book 2. It's time to update two newer models: Surface Book 3 and Surface Pro 7.

Surface Pro 6 gets a bunch of stability improvements in the latest firmware update

After releasing the April firmware update for Surface Studio 2, Microsoft pushed a similar set of patches for Surface Pro 6. These updates contain several stability and security improvements with no major changes or new features.

March firmware update for Surface Duo is now available

After having some trouble with consistency in releasing monthly patches and updates for Surface Duo, Microsoft is finally back on track. This time, Surface Duo owners got a fresh update without major delays. The March firmware is now available for unlocked Surface Duo with a build number 2021.207.70. If you own Surface Duo from AT&T, the update will arrive on your device in a couple of weeks. That is because AT&T needs to check and validate the new firmware before giving the green light.

March update for Xbox fixes controller connection issues

A few days ago, Microsoft released the March update for the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles. This relatively minor update brought an option to turn off the FPS Boost and Auto HDR enhancements for backward compatible games. For some reason, the changelog does not say that the March update also resolves gamepad connection issues. Jason Ronald, a member of the Xbox team, mentioned in his Twitter account that those suffering from the controller disconnect issues should install the latest update to get rid of all the problems.
