Linux Mint: Xreader and Cinnamon Improvements

The Linux Mint team today published their regular announcements related to the development progress of their latest distro and apps. The most notable changes of this month were made to the Xreader app, which is the default PDF reader of Linux Mint. Also, Cinnamon got the ability to set the maximum audio output volume.

Linux Mint 18.3: Cinnamon 3.6 Improvements, FlatPak Support

Cinnamon is getting progress bar in the taskbar

As you may already know, in Microsoft Windows starting with Windows 7, apps are able to draw a progress bar right in their app's taskbar button. It is useful when you are copying some files, downloading something or installing some huge app which takes time. Essentially, any task which shows a progress bar benefits from the taskbar indicating this. Here's good news for Linux Cinnamon users: the same feature is coming to Cinnamon.

Cinnamon got vertical panel support
