Office for Mac Insider preview build 15.38 is now rolling out

As you may be aware, Microsoft is using an Insider program for testing almost all of their products and services. Office apps aren't an exception — the Office Insider Program is open to both PC and Mac users and is also available on mobile devices. Yesterday, the company released another preview version of Office 2016 for Mac, available to Insiders on the Fast Ring.

Microsoft quietly released a Windows 10 Accounts extension for Chrome

There still aren't enough extensions available for Microsoft Edge, which is mostly the company's fault — they took too long to introduce extension support at first and now they seem to be doing a very poor job on attracting developers to bring their products to the Windows Store. But this isn't stopping the company from making their own browser extensions — for third party browsers like Google Chrome.

Microsoft delays Story Remix 3D feature, won’t be available in Fall Creators Update

When Microsoft officials first announced Windows 10 Fall Creators Update during the Build 2017 keynote, they showcased a lot of new and cool features that were supposed to be in it. However, as Windows 10 FCU development comes to an end, there are some things that clearly won't make it into this release. ShareX screen capturing tool is now available in the Windows Store

Windows 10 has more than enough options for making a screenshot with built-in features: from the recently introduced Win+Shift+S keyboard shortcut and Screen sketch in Windows Ink to the more traditional ones like Snipping tool and PrtScreen, Alt+PrtScreen and Win+PrtScreen hotkeys. However, some people prefer an integrated solution that handles everything from capturing, editing to sharing. There are, of course, dozens of third party Win32 apps and UWP apps for making screenshots on the web, but ShareX is one of the most popular options right now.

How to Run Apps as Administrator in Windows 10

Ever since Windows Vista introduced User Account Control, there has been a need to occasionally run some programs as administrator for doing some functions. If the UAC setting is set to the highest level in Windows, then you get a UAC prompt when you open an app as administrator. But when the UAC setting is at a lower level, signed Windows EXEs are elevated silently. Also, there are some scheduled tasks which run as administrator and you can also create your own shortcuts that run elevated but you don't get the UAC prompt for them. In this article, we will see all possible ways to run apps as administrator (elevated).
