Windows 10 October 2018 Update is available to all

As you may remember, Microsoft pulled Windows 10 October 2018 Update quickly after its release because of a number of critical bugs. The company is currently releasing the fixed version via the Windows Update service. It is available to everyone starting March 20, 2019.

Set Deadlines for Automatic Updates and Restarts in Windows 10

Windows 10 is set to check for updates automatically unless you disable this feature manually. Starting with Windows version 1903, there is a new Group Policy option that allows specifying the number of days that a user has before quality and feature updates are installed on their device automatically. Also, there is an option to set a grace period after which the operating system restarts automatically.

Disable End of Support Notifications in Windows 7

Windows 7 is going out of support on 14th January 2020, but plenty of users are using it and have no plans to upgrade it. Microsoft is getting ready to end support for Windows 7, and will begin to push a series of messages to Windows 7 users by showing notifications about the support expiration. Microsoft Edge Insider extension now available in Microsoft Store

Microsoft is releasing an Insider extension for the new Chromium-based Edge browser. Surprisingly, the extension is out before the official release of the browser. It looks like it will work as an extra communication channel for Edge Insiders, delivering new features and allowing tweaking of the Insider program options.
