The today's patch that Microsoft released to the Release Preview will bring with it the Moment 3 update features that were slated for July 2023. The company will roll out KB5027303 to the Stable version of Windows 11 version 22H2 on June 27, 2023, in form of an optional update. On July 11th will become part of Patch Tuesday, i.e. will be generally available.
Windows 11 version 22H2 Build 22621.1926 lands in the Release Preview channel
Microsoft today released a new patch, KB5027303, that ships Build 22621.1926 to Insiders running Windows 11 version 22H2 in the Release Preview channel. The update improves Chinese fonts and the Microsoft Pinyin IME to support GB18030-2022. It also expands notification badging for Microsoft accounts on the Start menu, improves sharing local files in File Explorer with Outlook contacts, adds features to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and allows for authentication across Microsoft clouds, satisfying Conditional Access checks if needed. Finally, it expands Live Captions to more languages.
New Outlook app for Windows will replace Mail and Calendar in September 2024
Microsoft announced that a new web-based Outlook client for Windows will replace the legacy Mail, Calendar, and People apps starting in September 2024. The legacy apps are the Store UWP software.
