Microsoft today released Edge Dev 88.0.692.0 to Insiders in the Dev channel. Among a few new features, the release includes the ability to directly pin a website to the Start menu. There are also a number of general fixes and improvements.
Edge is now able to redirect PWAs to installed Store apps
Microsoft is testing a new feature in the Canary version of the Edge browser. If the user has both PWA and the Store version of the same web app, the browser can automatically launch the Store app instead of the installed PWA.

Microsoft is actively working on running Progressive Web Apps (PWA) inside Edge tabs. The latest Canary build introduces a new flag that allows PWAs that run in a tab to intercept and process links on Desktop. While it has some limitations, it extends the capabilities of tabbed PWAs in Windows 10, which now handle certain websites like Android apps do.
