Microsoft to hold a Windows Cloud-focused event in May 2017

Microsoft was expected to hold a Surface-centered event this April: originally, rumors suggested that we may see the mysterious Surface Phone for the first time, but later that plan was abandoned; the event should've been a place where Microsoft was going to announce new Surface tablets and notebooks. But it seems like this plan has changed too. Microsoft still hasn't said anything about it to the press, but thanks to the new report from ZDnet we now know, that the company will hold a different event about Windows 10 Cloud a few days before Build 2017 starts in early May. The List of Special Character ALT Codes

As you may already know, you can type extra characters from the Unicode standard which are not present on the keyboard. Almost all apps today support special characters which can be entered with the ALT key and some special combination of digits. Using the proper ALT key sequence, you can type the trademark symbol, the degree symbol, the copyright sign, various currency icons and so on. Microsoft renames its partner conference to Microsoft Inspire

Last week, Microsoft announced the schedule for its conferences for 2017, including Build 2017 and Microsoft Ignite. However, while the mentioned two are for developers and businesses, there was always one more conference for the company's partners — Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference or WPC for short. Windows servicing change introduces Monthly Rollups for Windows 8.1 and Windows 7

Yesterday, Microsoft announced a change in Windows servicing that introduces a rollup model for updates. It will reduce the number of updates available for Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 and combine them into a single monthly rollup. Each month's rollup will be cumulative but they will release express packages on Windows Update to keep the download size small for those who have already installed the previous month's rollup. With a single rollup they aim to eliminate update fragmentation.
