Microsoft says that Defender file download feature is not a risk

Microsoft recently updated its Defender antivirus, adding the ability to silently download any file from the Internet. Some users are concerned that this new feature could be exploited by malware and potentially unwanted applications. Microsoft has officially replied that the company does not consider this change to the application a vulnerability.

Microsoft opens registration for the Ignite 2020 online event

This year's Ignite conference will be a two-part online event. One part of Ignite 2020 will come in September, from September 22 - 24. The the other is planned for early 2021. Both parts will be free, digital-only 48-hour events. You can now register to it.

PowerToys 0.22 includes new Mute Conference tool, version 0.21.1 released with bugfixes

Microsoft has released two new PowerToys versions. PowerToys 0.21.1 is now available in the stable branch of the app suite, and resolves a bunch of various issues in tools included in the suite. PowerToys 0.22 is a new preview release. It is notable for a new tool, Video Conference Mute. The new tool will mute not your audio and video with a single keystroke.

Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 20206 (Dev Channel) with input improvements

Microsoft has updated the Dev Channel (formerly Fast Ring) with a new release, Windows 10 Build 20206. The release is notable for a number of keyboard improvements, including a new emoji picker, and new voice typing features.
