Windows 11 Build 23545 (Dev) disables the annoying search pop-up

Along with Canary, there is also an update in the Dev channel today. It now hosts Windows 11 Build 23545, which disables the controversial auto-open search pane on taskbar hover feature. However, it may now directly open Bing for you!  It also allows setting a friendly name for your device when its particiaptes in nearby sharing.

New features and improvements

Taskbar search

Microsoft is experimenting with different options for what will happen when you click a button inside the search bar on the taskbar. In some cases, you will be taken to a Bing.com page dedicated to that search query. When you hover your mouse over after a search, a tooltip will always be displayed. The Search window should no longer appear on hover.
