Starting in Windows 10 version 20H2, Microsoft will change what you see in the Windows version information. Microsoft will switch from to a format that represents the half of the calendar year in which the release becomes available in retail and commercial channels.

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Build 19042.330, a build from the 20H2 development branch, to Insiders on the Beta Channel (formerly Slow ring). This build includes a number of fixes from KB4557957, and the new Microsoft Edge.

A cumulative update released for Windows 10 version 2004, '20H1', also known as 'May 2020 Update', reveals a new information regarding Windows 10 '20H2'. It confirms rumors that 20H2 will be a minor, service pack-like update. It will follow the idea that Microsoft has implemented for Windows 10 version 1909, which is a minor update to version 1903.

As you remember, Windows 10 '20H1' had been officially announced as 'version 2004'. Today its marketing name made its first appearance in PowerShell, and it is May 2020 Update. Also, there is Windows 10 Manganese, a code name for the upcoming 20H2 feature update.

Windows 10 '20H1' is expected to be released this Spring. Microsoft is currently polishing the OS, and releases minor fixes and improvements. Windows 10 '20H1' will get the Windows 10 version 2004 marketing name. One of the recent changes made to the OS is certification for Bluetooth 5.1.
