Xfce’s Whisker Menu Plugin Got Major Feature Overhaul

In Xfce, which is the desktop environment I prefer for now for my Linux distros, it is possible to have two types of apps menu. The first is the classic one, which shows a drop down list of app categories but has poor customization options. The other, Whisker Menu plugin implements a more modern apps menu with a search bar, favorites, customizable appearance and tracking of frequent apps. Starting in version 2.4.0, the Whisker Menu plugin has received plenty of new options.

Microsoft May Revive Tabs (Sets) in Windows 10 Soon

Sets was the most exciting feature of the upcoming Windows 10 version. Sets is an implementation of a tabbed shell for Windows 10 which allows app grouping exactly like tabs in a browser. Microsoft had removed them in Windows 10 Build 17704 'to continue making it great'. However, in SDK for Windows 10 build 19577 Sets made their appearance, giving us an idea that it may return in a feature update following Windows 10 version 2004.
