Google has introduced a new option in its Arts & Culture service that allows creating postcards featuring poems written by artificial intelligence. With this tool, users can choose the theme of the poem and specify the source that will inspire the AI. The new feature is available in the Google Arts & Culture app and on the project website.

YouTube won’t show recommendations with watch history disabled
YouTube will no longer show video recommendations to users who have turned off their browsing history. The changes took effect on August 8 and will be gradually rolled out to all users.

The latest update of Snipping Tool, version 11.2306.43.0, adds the ability to directly edit a screenshot or video capture in an external app. Currently, there are hardcoded buttons for Paint and Clipchamp.

Microsoft releases Windows 11 Build 25926 to Insiders in the Canary channel. The update brings with it several new features that earlier were available in the Dev channel only. Those include screen casting, Windows Ink, and file sharing improvements. In addition, the Snipping Tool has got a few new features in this release.

The Redmond software giant continues to kill the legacy Control Panel in Windows. This process has started in Windows 8, where Microsoft first introduced the modern PC Settings app. The latter has evolved into the Settings app in Windows 10 and 11. With each iteration, more and more classic Control Panel applets disappear, and become a page of Settings. With Build 25915 (Canary), you cannot open classic Notification Area Icons dialog.

Microsoft Store now shows “System Component” labels for inbox apps
Similar to the Start menu, the Store app now shows the "System Component" label for apps that come pre-installed with Windows, and made by Microsoft. The company is using these labels to differentiate the software that is part of the operating system from third-party apps.
