Google is expanding its Android Games on Windows beta to eight more countries

As you may remember, Google has its own alternative to Microsoft Subsystem for Android. Unlike WSA which is exclusive to Windows 11, it is available for both Windows 11 and 10. The software is currently in Beta .

If you are an Android user, perhaps you will find Google's solution fascinating. The app launches the Android games locally on your computer, laptop, or tablet, similar to how native games work. Games will support both mouse and keyboard as a touch screen alternative.

Google intends to implement Google Account syncing, cloud game save support, achievements, Google Play Points, and other options the Android platform has. It will sync everything across your devices. Everything Google Play offers will be under your fingertips.

Microsoft's Subsystem for Android lacks all of these options. It is powered by the Amazon Store with select software compatible with WSA. On the other hand, WSA includes not only games but various apps. Google Play Games currently offers only games, and their list is limited to 85 select titles for the time of beta testing.

Actually, you can sideload apps from APK files, and even add Google Play to it. But none of these methods are officially recommended or supported.

Google's minimum requirements start from Windows 10 version 2004, while WSA requires you to run Windows 11 22H2.

So, the search giant made its Google Play Games available for 8 more countries. Those include  U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. Check its availability for you here.
