Windows 11 now shows Snap Groups in Alt + Tab and Taskbar previews

One of the great improvements in Windows 11 is window management. When you move some app to a screen edge, the OS offers you up to 6 layouts to arrange other windows. Now, Windows 11 Dev builds reflect those layouts in Alt + Tab and in the Taskbar preview thumbnails.

Microsoft released a small update to fix broken Snipping Tool

Microsoft recently published an update on the Windows 11 Health Dashboard website, notifying users about issues with some stock apps. According to Microsoft, an expired certificate caused various parts of the operating system and apps to stop working. For example, when opening Snipping Tool, users receive a Windows 8-like notification with the "This app can't open" message.

Microsoft improved legacy context menus in the latest Windows 11 Preview

Context menus and their numerous design variations in Windows 10 and 11 are a running joke among the users. After several attempts to fix design inconsistencies in Windows 10, Microsoft introduced brand-new modern context menus in Windows 11. Legacy menus are still there (we have a dedicated guide that explains how to restore the classic context menu in Windows 11), and their looks are a little weird. Fortunately, Microsoft does ignore the situation. The latest Windows 11 preview build in the Dev channel has a slightly improved design for the classic context menus.

Windows 11 Build 22494 hits the Dev channel, adds a microphone mute taskbar button

Microsoft today released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22494 to the Dev Channel. Its key changes include the ability to mute or unmute your microphone from the Taskbar starting with Microsoft Teams, and a set of important fixes.
