WSL –install will now install Linux distros, allows picking any of available online

Microsoft has done a useful change to the Windows Sybsystem for Linux (WSL). Starting in Windows 10 build 20246, WSL will now install a Linux distro in addition to the feature itself, so it will get ready INSTANTLY, with no extra actions required from your side.

Windows 10 Build 20246 is now in the Dev channel

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Build 20246 to the Dev Channel. The update is now available via Windows Update to Insiders, and it is a build from the FE_RELEASE branch.  As a result of the switch to the FE_RELEASE branch, Insiders will notice that some features like the updated emoji picker, redesigned touch keyboard, voice typing, theme-aware splash screens, and others have been removed temporarily.
