Windows Terminal Preview 1.11 comes with acrylic title bar and other cool features

Microsoft today released two new Windows Terminal versions. The stable channel has received version 1.10, which has got all the changed announced earlier. Today's preview release, version 1.11, comes with a galore of exciting changes, including the ability to minimize it to the system tray, open new tab to the desired folder by simply dragging it onto the terminal window. There are also eye-candy changes like the acrylic effect applied to the title bar.

Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud) comes to Xbox One and Xbox Series S & X consoles this holiday

At Gamescom 2021, Microsoft announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming, formerly known as Project xCloud, will be available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X & S consoles later this year. The company said that it will continue to be part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Also, some members of the Xbox Insider program will be able to evaluate the service before its official launch on consoles.

Thunderbird 91 released, here are the changes

A new version of the popular Thunderbird app is available for download. The open source mail and RSS reader has reached version 91, aligning the release number to Firefox. The new version comes with a bunch of changes. There are an Improved Set-Up Wizard, Better Calendar Support, and multi-process implementation that could result in performance improvements.

Microsoft will combine OneNote (Win32) and OneNote for Windows 10 in one new app

Microsoft is developing a unified OneNote app for Windows. In coming 12 months, Microsoft plans to merge OneNote (Win32) and OneNote for Windows 10 (UWP) into a single app. As reported in the official blog, the company intends to bring to the classic version of OneNote all the key features that are currently unique to the UWP version of OneNote for Windows 10. In addition, the desktop application will receive an updated design to match the style of Windows 11.

Microsoft has introduced new 3D emoji for Windows, Office, and Teams

Microsoft introduced the current emoji in Windows, Office, and other products about 10 years ago. They are made in 2D style, which perfectly fit into the concept of the Metro interface that the company was implementing at that time.
