Windows Terminal Preview 1.14 allows applying the background image to entire window

Microsoft today released the stable version of Windows Terminal 1.13. It includes all the changes from the appropriate preliminary release. At the same time, the Redmond firm issued a new version of Windows Terminal Preview 1.14. The latter has got new actions, and also allows setting one background image to your entire Terminal window, instead of each split panel has its own background.

Windows 11 will get support for third-party widgets before the end of the year

Widget support from third-party developers will appear in the Windows 11 operating system before the end of this year. Microsoft announced this at the Build 2022 annual developer conference. Developers will be able to create widgets, including those that work in pair with Win32 and PWA apps.

Windows 10 Build 19044.1739 (KB5014023) hits the Release Preview channel with fixes

Microsoft today release a new optional "C" update for Windows 10. It won't install automatically and targets devices running on the Release Preview channel. The patch KB5014023 is for Windows 10 version 21H2, and raises the OS version to Build 19044.1739.

Windows Subsystem for Android receives Android 12.1 and new features

Microsoft today released a major update for Windows Subsystem for Android to Insiders in the Dev channel. WSA version 2204.40000.15.0 for Windows 11 brings with it Android 12.1, improved integration of the subsystem with Windows, and the updated look of its settings.

Edge Dev 103.0.1255.0 released with search and policy improvements

A new version of Edge, 103.0.1255.0, is available to Insiders running the browser in the Dev channel. The release doesn't include much for consumers, but some of the changes are important for sysadmins. There are also fixes and improvements traditional for weekly pre-release updates.
