The OS required a newest CPU and a Secure Boot feature with TPM 2.0. For that, Microsoft was heavily criticized by users. As a new research shows, Windows 11 wasn't the first OS with such requirements. Actually, it was Windows 10 where Secure Boot and TPM were mandatory.

Microsoft has released an update for Beta Channel insiders. The two new preview builds of Windows 11 version 22H2 are 22621.586 and 22622.586. Both builds come as KB5016701, with Build 22622.586 including new features, and Build 22621.586 without them. However, the official announcement doesn't list a single one new feature, and only lists fixes exclusive to the 22622 branch.
