YouTube has revealed that it is currently testing two innovative artificial intelligence functionalities with the aim of enhancing the YouTube viewing experience. Initially, these features will only be available to a select group of users.
To improve the organization of comment threads on videos with lengthy discussions, YouTube will leverage AI technology. This will enable comments to be grouped by topic, allowing contributors to easily navigate to interesting conversations or gain inspiration for new content.
It is important to note that comments that have been moderated or contain blocked words will not be used by this feature. Initially, this functionality will only be accessible on mobile devices for English-language comments.
Additionally, YouTube will introduce a chatbot dialog that can provide informative answers about the video without interrupting the viewer's experience. This chatbot will offer background information, suggest related content, and provide other valuable insights. Moreover, for educational videos, AI will recommend tests and interactive activities.
Subscription holders of YouTube Premium will be granted immediate access to these experimental features.
