Visual Studio 2022 is coming on November 8

Visual Studio 2022, the next version of Microsoft's IDE, is coming in less than a month. Microsoft announced the upcoming release on the devblogs.microsoft.com website. Alongside revealing the launch date of Visual Studio 2022, Microsoft released the Visual Studio 2022 Release Candidate (RC) and Preview 5.

Microsoft plans to celebrate the release of Visual Studio 2022 at a special event on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 8:30 AM PT time. The company invites developers to explore the latest improvements and new capabilities of Visual Studio 2022 and learn from special guest speakers.

Besides, Microsoft will host a live Q&A session, so attending developers will have a chance to speak directly to Microsoft's engineers and ask them various questions about the newest IDE. The online launch event is free for everyone, and you can access it on the official Microsoft Visual Studio Page.

Developers can now download the Visual Studio 2022 Release Candidate to prepare for the launch. If you are interested in Preview 5, head over this link instead. Microsoft provides full support for both Release Candidate and General Availability versions. The RC will update to GA on the launch date automatically.

Visual Studio 2022 brings various improvements to the popular IDE from Microsoft. The software is now 64-bit, which means developers can access more RAM to work with the biggest, most complex projects. Also, Microsoft focused its efforts on improving several key features of Visual Studio, such as Find in Files. Also, Visual Studio 2022 brings .NET 6 and C++20 support, real-time and asynchronous collaboration, improved UI, system theme support, a whole line completion, and quick actions recommendations.
