Thunderbird 78.1.1 released with a number of fixes

Shortly after Thunderbird 78, a new minor update is released by the team behind this excellent mail app. It features upgrade issues for users who install it over Thunderbird 68, including the blank message preview bug, and also includes a portion of other important changes and fixes.

Thunderbird is my preferred email client of choice. I use this app on every PC and on every operating system I use. It is stable, contains all the features you need, supports add-ons and also comes with a useful RSS reader. I am using Thunderbird for many years and never felt the need to look for an alternative.

Thunderbird 78 doesn't support classic XUL add-ons any more, but includes some of their features natively. E.g. on Windows you can minimize the app to the system tray.

Thunderbird 78.1.1 comes with the following changes.

  • Fixed width font not working in compose window

  1. Since updating to 78.1.1, I cannot send or recieve mail on hotmail, outlook, gmail, or yahoo.

I have used you since you were firebird and have always been able to navigate through issues like this.

I have configurations correct and firewalls correct. No luck.

A detailed setup and troubleshooting article is needed.
