This is a new Windows 11 wallpaper to celebrate the upcoming holidays

Microsoft releases a new custom Windows 11 desktop wallpaper to help you celebrate upcoming holidays. The background image is created by Kervin Brisseaux, a Haitian American creative director who lives in New York City.

According to the official announcement, he combines influences from his background in architecture with cues from fashion, music and other facets of pop culture into his vibrant illustration style.

“[What inspires] me changes as frequently as the weather, but lately I’ve been inspired by vibrant hues, patterns and designs that play with shapes in both minimal and dense compositions,” says Brisseaux. “Thematically, I’ve always been inspired by pop culture and what’s currently playing through my headphones.”

Here's the new image:

According to the author, it merges the updated design of Windows 11 with the magical, vibrant nature of the holidays.

The light and bright elements of the visual story Brisseaux imagined for his background track with the new color palette and softer, more approachable graphics of Windows 11. Soft floral elements and ribbons play on the operating system’s modern and engaging rounded geometry, while invoking holiday gift-giving traditions.

It is worth noting that it's not the only official wallpaper you can get for Windows 11. Earlier, Microsoft also made the original Windows 11 SE background available for download.

The Windows 11 SE wallpaper is in pastel colors that add variety to the default blue desktop background. It is not that festive, but overall look good on the desktop.

  1. It looks nice, so I can use it in windows 10.
My surface laptop is only three years old and is according to MS not fit to run windows 11.
Anyway, how come I do not receive any Winaeromails since october 31 2021?
