The Xbox app on Windows will predict game performance before you download the game

Microsoft has added a new text note to the game pages in the Xbox app for Windows. Thanks to that addition, players will be able to learn how well a game will perform on their devices. So, you will see at a glance how smooth will be the gameplay.

Game Performance Information in Xbox app on Windows

The performance information extends the system requirements listed on the game page. Microsoft calculates the performance value by testing the games against various computer configurations.

Xbox App On Windows Predict Game Performance

Currently, it is a work in progress, so not all Xbox games have such an addition in their description. Instead, they have a note "performance check not available yet". This also means that your computer hardware may be unknown to Microsoft and is not listed in their device database.

To give the feature a try, you need to join the Insider program for getting the most recent Xbox app version.

Besides the new features in Xbox app, Microsoft recently launched a virtual 3D museum to celebrate two decades on Xbox. The virtual museum of the Xbox history reveals the story of Xbox and exposes four generations of Microsoft consoles in detail. It also includes a dedicated section to Halo, the most iconic game of the platform.
