Apparently, Microsoft is working on a new generation of Surface Go tablet. In addition to yesterday's found Surface Duo 2 with Snapdragon 888 SoC, Geekbench includes a new device called "OEMAL Product DV1.1". The device is believed to be the new the Surface Go 3. Similarly, the Surface Pro X device previously appeared in their database under the "OESMR" name.

Rumors say that Microsoft will announce Surface Go 3 in October, along with the introduction of Surface Pro 8 and Surface Book 4. However the latter may come out under a different name. If this information is correct, then it is the right moment for the benchmark results of the Surface Go device to appear.
So, the Geekbench database now contains two Surface Go 3 models, one of which is based on the Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor, and the other on the Intel Core i3-10100Y. Both chips belong to the Intel Amber Lake Y family. They are energy efficient processors that provide quite modest performance.
The base model Surface Go 3 looks set to come with 4GB of RAM, while the Core i3 version will come with 8GB of RAM. Of course, it's too early to talk about the exact specs of the device, especially since Microsoft can prepare more models than is known now.
In Geekbench 4, the Pentium Gold 6500Y model scored 3197 points in the single-core test and 5643 points in the multi-core test, which is 62% and 47% better than the Surface Go 2 with Pentium Gold 4425Y, respectively. In turn, the variant on the Core i3-10100Y scored 4359 and 7643 points, which exceeds the results of the Surface Go 2 with the Core i3-8100Y by 11% and 4%, respectively (via WindowsCentral).
