Automatically Switch To Light or Dark Mode in Windows 10

Recent Windows 10 versions include a native dark mode. It allows you to switch between the dark and light themes. This can be done with Settings, by changing the options located under Personalization -> Colors.  Unfortunately, Windows 10 doesn't allow you to switch its color mode automatically on a schedule. Luckily, this can be easily implemented with the help of Task Scheduler and a simple Registry tweak.

How To Enable Light Theme in Windows 10

Starting in Windows 10 Build 18282, the operating system includes a new light theme that changes the color of the Start menu, the taskbar, and the Action Center to white with acrylic effects. Also, the 'Colors' page of the Settings app was updated to include a set of new options to customize the appearance.

Initial Windows 10 themes appear in Windows Store

Some of you may already know about Microsoft's intention to distribute themes for Windows 10 via the Windows Store. This move will not only allow developers to sell their own themes on Microsoft's platform, but will also secure users from the dangers of downloading potentially dangerous UI customization tweaks from other unknown or untrusted sources. Well, at least that's what Microsoft wants us to believe.
