Microsoft is pushing out the May updates roundup with fresh firmware for Surface Pro 4 and three generations of Surface Laptop. Here what is new in the latest patches for Surface Pro 4, Surface Laptop, Surface Laptop 2, and Surface Laptop 4.
There are no significant changes in the May 2021 update for Surface Pro 4. The changelog includes only "security updates and stability improvements."

The recently introduced Surface Laptop 4 got a similar update. In addition to traditional security and stability improvements, users are getting graphic performance enhancements and patches for some unknown "critical security vulnerabilities.

Finally, the original and the second-gen Surface Laptop got only a single Surface UEFI update to version 138.3681.768.0 with device stability improvements. For some reason, there is no firmware updates for Surface Laptop 3. That device also missed the April 2021 firmware updates.
All the updates are now available through Windows Update on devices running Windows 10 1903 and newer. You can also download standalone update packages for manual offline installation using the official Surface Firmware website.
