As part of Patch Tuesday, Microsoft today released cumulative updates for all supported Windows 11 and Windows 10 versions. Those include KB5050009 and KB5050021 for Windows 11, and a set of patches for Windows 10 22H2, and 21H2/1809/1607/1507 for customer releases of the OS.
VLC Reaches 6 Billion Downloads, Introduces Automatic Subtitle Generation
The VideoLAN project has announced that its VLC media player has reached a milestone of six billion downloads. Data collected by the statistics system since February 2005 shows that approximately 4.8 billion downloads are for the Windows version, 380 million for macOS, and 6.8 million for the source code archive.
Google launches a fund to support Chromium-based projects
