Recently, I built a media centre device using Raspberry Pi 2. I am using Arch Linux + Kodi as its software. When plugged to my TV, I noticed the very small fonts that Kodi is using for the controls and information shown on the screen. While I don't care that much about the controls, (because I use my smartphone to control Kodi), the file list font size was terribly small. It was hard to read anything on the TV screen. A recent build of Windows 10 comes with a new feature - the transparent Start menu and taskbar now have a blur effect! The blur effect was present initially in Windows Vista and was very much loved by users for looking like authentic glass. Window frame borders and the title bar also had this effect. Windows 7 extended the effect to the Taskbar. In Windows 8, Microsoft removed the blur effect and kept only transparency. Many users did not like this change, however, with Windows 10, Microsoft has restored it partially.
