Microsoft has released a new preview version of the Windows Feature Experience Pack. The new version 120.2212.3920.0 is now available to participants of the Windows Insider running the most recent Windows 10 21H1 in the channel Beta, or version 20H2 in Release Preview.

Today, Microsoft released cumulative updates for Windows 10 versions 21H1, 20H2, and 2004. They are part of the C/D releases for supported versions. This means that they are optional, and you need to install them manually if you are interested in getting them. Windows 10 won't install them automatically. The latter will happen on the second Tuesday of July, which Patch Tuesday updates to include today's fixes.

Windows 10 21H1 and 20H2 receive a new patch, KB5003690. The update is only available in the Beta Channel and Release Preview Channel. It includes a huge number of fixes, including a fix for the annoying blurry texts issue in News and Interests.

You can disable or uninstall Windows Media Player in Windows 10 if you are using some other app to play your audio and video files. Many users have already switched to advanced open source apps like VLC and SMPlayer, so they have no use for the good old WMP. Even Microsoft no longer sets it as a default music app in Windows 10.

You can delete memory dump files on Windows 10 which the OS creates when its runs into a system error with a BSoD (blue screen of death). These files are useful for troubleshooting, e.g. to find a driver that causes the system failure. After you done with troubleshooting, they just take the drive space for nothing. If you have a limited storage size, you definitely want to delete them.

Initially, Microsoft planned to include the News and Interests widget in the next Windows 10 features update (which is now looks to be Windows 11,) but the company changed its plans. Earlier this year, Microsoft decided to backport News and Interest to older Windows 10 versions, and it is now available to everyone running Windows 10 1909 and newer.

You can add Windows Tools to Context Menu in Windows 10, so you will able to open this system folder just with one click. It will appear in the Desktop right-click menu. It can be a nice alternative or addition to its shortcut.

Microsoft today released one more cumulative update. The patch KB5004123 is released to Insiders running Windows 10 build 21390. The Dev channel is frozen until the June 24 Windows event, so last three cumulative updates do not add anything new to the OS. Microsoft is testing its servicing pipeline.

Although there is still no official confirmation of the name of "the next generation of Windows," Microsoft has released a YouTube video teaser that subtly confirms Windows 11 is coming. Microsoft published an 11-minute-long video called "Windows Startup Sounds - Lo-Fi Remix." It is a collection of startup sounds from different Windows versions slowed down 40 times. In the description, the company says that the video will help enthusiasts to relax before the June 24 event.
