Developers behind the Fire Cube Studios company have reintroduced Clippy, the iconic virtual assistant, to Windows 10 and Windows 11. This new version of Clippy is built on top of the GPT 3.5 model developed by OpenAI, and the project's source code is openly available on GitHub.

The code for the original Far Cry game developed by Crytek studio was recently leaked. Many users were able to compile and run the game using this leaked code. While the leak was missing some assets, users were able to obtain them from the official release version of the game.

Earlier we reported that Microsoft was about to replace the legacy Mail, Calendar, and People apps with the new Outlook starting in September 2024. However, the company has changed the timing, so the app will become a new inbox app by the end of the next year.

Updates include a WinGet YAML configuration file for NodeJS, a loading progress ring for widgets, antialiasing for system widget graphs, support for Arm64 devices, and a repository cloning tool that displays previously cloned repositories.

Microsoft announced that a new web-based Outlook client for Windows will replace the legacy Mail, Calendar, and People apps starting in September 2024. The legacy apps are the Store UWP software. The new Outlook will come preinstalled on all devices manufactured in 2024. Finally, the Mail and Calendar app will have an option for the smooth transition to the new app.

Google's cloud storage client is terminating support of Windows 8.1 and its predecessor, Windows 8. The company encourages users to upgrade the operating system to a newer version.
