As part of the fall Ignite 2021 conference, Microsoft has officially announced the release of the stable version of the Microsoft Edge browser for the Linux platform. You can download it from the official Microsoft Edge website .

Microsoft has released a new build of Chromium-based Microsoft Edge, 97.0.1060.2 to the Dev Channel. It traditionally brings with it several new features, fixes and improvements. This is the first build with major number 97 for the Dev Channel.

Microsoft Edge 96, the next major update for the browser from Microsoft, is now one step away from the public release. The company has just shipped Edge 96 for testers in the Beta channel, allowing users to preview new features and find last-minute bugs. If you stay away from preview software, expect Edge 96 to arrive in the Stable channel on the week of November 18, 2021.

Unlike Microsoft Edge Legacy, which was initially exclusive to Windows 10, modern Chromium-based Edge is available on every modern and supported platform. You can download Edge for Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, macOS, iOS, Android, and even Linux. The latter, though, is currently available only in preview. Linux was the last operating system Microsoft has added to the list of supported systems; no wonder the stable version is not available yet.

Not so long ago, Google released an update for its Chrome browser, which removed the lock icon (HTTPS indicator) in the address bar. Now Microsoft decided to adopt the change.

One of the benefits of using Microsoft Edge is the built-in capability to detect shopping coupons on websites when you shop online. Microsoft Edge Coupon Finder on desktop and mobile devices lets you save money without looking on the Internet for special codes or deals. Ahead of Black Friday and the global shopping frenzy, Microsoft announced integration with Shopify to further improve your shopping experience.

Four weeks after releasing Edge 94, Microsoft is back with another "major" update for its browser. Edge 95 is now available to all users in the stable channel.

A new Dev build of Microsoft Edge is available for download. Existing Dev channel users will receive it automatically. Edge Dev 96.0.1047.2 is notable for bringing the Citations feature to Collections, adding Super-Duper Secure mode to the Linux version of the browser, and more.

A new feature just made its appearance in Edge. With a new option enabled, Microsoft can render images on websites in an improved way. The browser will change the image brightness, contrast and improve tones to make it look impressive on your screen.
