How to Set a Linux distro version to WSL 1 or WSL 2 in Windows 10
Microsoft has ported WSL 2 to Windows 10 version 1909, and version 1903. Initially, it was exclusively available in Windows 10 version 2004. Now users who have installed two older releases of the OS can upgrade Windows Subsystem for Linux to the latest generation and get benefits from using it.
Microsoft plans to support the Declarative Net Request API and other changes proposed as part of Manifest V3 by Google. The Manifest V3 document clarifies API and feature changes in the Chromuim project that also bring a number of restrictions for extensions. The most affected extensions are ad blockers, that may stop working properly.
As of this writing, Windows 10 on ARM is an ARM64 platform, which only supports 32-bit x86 apps via a built-in emulator. It is not possible to run traditional 64-bit apps in this OS. Earlier, we mentioned that this will eventually be changed. It looks the change goes live.
Vivaldi 3.4 is out, featuring configurable context menus, automatic reloading of pages on desktop, and improved Speed Dial layout on Android. Also, it now includes Vivaldia, the real 80s arcade-style game, on both platforms.
Microsoft has announced an update to the user interface of the Favorites pane in the Edge browser. In addition to the pane pinning option that we have covered earlier, there is a new tree-style view, and the ability to directly re-arrange entries with drag-n-drop without opening the bookmark manager.
Microsoft has released Windows 10 Build 20236 to Insiders in the Dev channel. Starting with this build, it is now possible to change the display refresh rate with a new option in the Settings app. There is also a long list of fixes, and a number of general improvements.
Microsoft discontinued its two popular products, Office 2010 for Windows and Office 2016 for Mac. An official announcement says that the software has today received their final updates, and won't get them any longer.
Microsoft is updating Windows 10 to show a notification when a new Startup entry is added to the OS. Everytime an app registers itself to start with the OS, you will notice that, and will be able to change this, e.g. to instantly disable it from being launched after you sign in to Windows.

A new experimental release of PowerToys is available for download. Version 0.24 includes all the fixes introduced in PowerToys 0.23.2 plus a number of fixes to the 'Video Conference Mute' tool, and a few other improvements.
