Microsoft has confirmed two new issues with Windows 11

The Redmond firm has published the information about two new bugs in Windows 11 that appear after you install the latest cumulative update. After you install KB5019980 on a Server edition of the OS, that may break Domain Controller's Kerberos authentication. Also, Direct Access for Wi-Fi may stop working after you install KB5019509. Both issues are common for Windows 11 and Windows 10. Microsoft provides a workaround for affected machines.

References to Windows 11 “Moment 3” update found in Beta build 22623.885

As you may remember, with Windows 11 "22H2" Microsoft introduced a new mechanism to provide feature updates to the OS. Instead of including them into huge version updates, it now ships small but frequent packages internally called "Moments". While the OS itself will receive major version changes once every 3 years, new features will appear multiple times throughout the year with these "Moment" updates.

Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.2301 (RP) adds a new app and search improvements

Microsoft has released a new build to Insiders running Windows 10 version 22H2 on the Release Preview channel. They receive Build 19045.2301 via KB5020030. It includes improvements made to the the taskbar search, fixes various issues with Store and DirectX. Also, it adds a new Quick Assist inbox app.

Final version of native Visual Studio 2022 for ARM64 released

Microsoft has announced the release of Visual Studio 2022 17.4 with native support for the ARM64 platform. It will allow developers to create software faster without using emulation. Microsoft was testing the native version of Visual Studio for ARM since this summer.

Windows 10 version 21H1 will reach its end of support next month

Next month, Microsoft will end support for all editions of Windows 10 version 21H1, also known as the May 2021 Update. The EOL date is December 13, 2022, when the OS will receive the latest cumulative update with vulnerability fixes. Microsoft recommends upgrading to the latest versions of Windows 10 as soon as possible to continue to stay protected.

Microsoft intends to advertise its services in the Windows 11 Start menu. This not even news for most users who track the Dev channel. Earlier, this advertisement option was discovered in Build 25227. Officially known as Start menu badges, they will remind the user to do this or that important action.

Windows 11 Beta channel has got builds 22623.885 and 22621.885

Microsoft has released new preview builds of Windows 11 (version 22H2) 22621.885 and  22623.885 (KB5020054) to Windows Insiders on the Beta channel.Build 22623.885  includes several new features, and Build 22621.885  comes with new features disabled by default.
