Windows 11 Will Allow Removing AI Actions for File Explorer

Microsoft recently announced a forthcoming update to Windows 11 that will allow you to remove the “AI Actions” section from the File Explorer right-click context menu. The change responds to user feedback pointing at interface clutter, specially from those who do not use Microsoft’s built-in artificial intelligence features.

Microsoft has released WSL 2.7.0 with newer kernel and improvements

Microsoft has released Windows Subsystem for Linux version 2.7.0, tagged as Pre-Release now. WSL is a tool that allows running Linux applications on Windows. Version 2.7.0 marks the second significant update following the open-source release its components under the MIT license. Previously, the WSL components related to the Linux kernel and the wslg graphics stack were open-sourced , while all associated tools were proprietary.

The Agenda feature in Windows 11 will be built on WebView2

Microsoft has announced the return of the Calendar Agenda view to the Windows 11 Notification Center. This feature, which displayed upcoming events and meetings directly in the Action Center, was available in Windows 10 but omitted when Windows 11 launched in 2021. The reintroduced Agenda view will appear as part of an upcoming Windows 11 update.

Microsoft has patented Surface Buds that recognize their owner by their ears

Microsoft has filed a new patent titled "IN_EAR AUTHENTICATION," outlining a biometric identification system embedded directly into Surface Buds. This aims at protecting devices from unauthorized access and at offering a modern method for user verification on Windows platforms.
