The YouTube Music app has received an update that introduces a new vertical Samples feed. This feed, located in a new tab at the bottom of the app alongside the home feed and library, allows users to quickly discover new music.
There, short 30-second vertical video clips related to the user's interests are automatically played. The algorithm behind the Samples feed focuses on finding unfamiliar songs from artists that the user has already listened to.
Users can easily scroll through the videos and move from one clip to another. They also have the option to save the songs to their Favorites or any created playlist. To listen to the full song, users can simply click the play button in the corner of the screen.
Additionally, the clips can be shared through other applications, and there are various options available in the additional menu. These options include starting a continuous radio station from a specific song, visiting an artist's page, saving a track to the library, and more.
For a full-screen viewing experience, users can simply turn their smartphones over. The Samples feature is available for both Android and iOS users.
