The team behind the most innovative Vivaldi browser released a new snapshot of the upcoming version of the app. Vivaldi 2.3 brings a native ability to save a web page completely to an MHT file. Also, there is a new option to automatically create a new tab stack for related tabs, and more.
Vivaldi was started with the promise of giving you a highly customizable, full-featured, innovative browser. It looks like its developers kept their promise - there is no other browser on the market which offers the same amount of options and features. While Vivaldi is built on Chrome's engine, power users are the target user base, like the classic Opera 12 browser. Vivaldi was created by former Opera co-founder and developed keeping in mind Opera's usability and power.
Automatically create a tab stack
Starting in build 2.3.1400.4, Vivaldi allows creating a new tab stack automatically for tabs opened from a parent tab. You can enable this feature by opening Settings > Tabs and turning on the option As Tab Stack With Related Tabs.
Save as MHT
Also, the built-in feature of Chromium Save webpage as MHTML is now enabled in Vivaldi.
Exit confirmation
Finally, Vivaldi now shows a confirmation dialog when you close the browser. This feature is available on Windows and Linux.
As of this writing, the latest developer version of Vivaldi is 2.3.1401.7. You can get it using the links below.

Advertisеment
After upgrade to Vivaldi 2.3 on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, it will ONLY save in .mht format. I want to save webpages in a complete format so I can read off-line. I have searched through settings and cannot find any way to make Vivaldi save in complete format. Even when I choose webpage complete format on an individual tab save, it saves in .mht format. What am I missing here?
