The most innovative of all modern browsers, Vivaldi, today reached another milestone in the stable branch. The team behind the browser today released Vivaldi 1.12. Let's see what has changed.
New Image Inspector Feature
Vivaldi 1.12 features Image Inspector, a special tool which allows you get more details about the picture you see in the browser. You can right click the image and select Inspect Image in the context menu. See the following screenshot:
A new pane will be opened. It will display a lot of parameters like white balance, color temperature, histogram, camera name, dimension, size etc.

Information Panel for Downloads
Yet another new feature of the browser. The official announcement states the following:
Recently, we’ve stepped up the game with the Download Panel by adding the ability to sort downloads any way you like. Many of you wondered if we were going to add the download speed to the mix, and guess what – we just did. Not only that, but we also made a brand-new info toggle in the Download Panel that shows you everything you need to know about your downloads: name of the file, download speed, download URL, destination folder, and date and time.
Here is how it looks.
To hide it, double-click the separator line above the info pane as shown on the screenshot below. The info pane will be collapsed.
Sort Downloads By Type
With version 1.12, Vivaldi will allow the user to sort the downloads by type.
Change Saturation for Tab Accent Color
Another change has affected the accent color of the tab row. YouTube’s latest logo update results in a pretty aggressive accent color in Vivaldi. A new slider in setting allows the user to adjust the maximum allowed saturation level of accent colors.
